DOT RHYNE
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Dot Rhyne, Brand Talkers’ founder and president, discovered in the early '90s a strength in connecting people, resources and opportunities to grow new and incremental revenue through a marketing and promotion lens. Her curious and inquisitive nature became her defining strength, as she learned to listen and ask questions others weren’t always comfortable asking. Along the way, she became a student of great conversations and made smart sales communication her holy grail.
Dot was hired to help build and grow new revenue streams for media organizations including Cox Radio, The Dallas Morning News, Belo Corporation, The Oklahoman, Cox Radio Interactive and Griffin Communications, before launching Brand Talkers in 2011. Today, she applies those experiences and learnings to do the same for companies and organizations wanting to impact revenue beyond the obvious.
More than once, Dot has been able to turn a vapor idea into a living, breathing strategy and support it with turnkey execution. By assembling best-in-class resource partners to help create, design and produce stories and promotional tactics that inspire people to action, she works alongside internal teams to leverage available assets, ideas and resources to bring a vision to life.
Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Dot spent her formative career years in the Dallas/Fort Worth media market before moving to Oklahoma City in 2002 to assume the marketing promotions role at The Oklahoman. From 2005 to 2008, she lived in Atlanta, Georgia and served as the Director of Sales Development for Cox Radio Interactive (CXRi), working with radio sales teams across the country to accelerate and grow the company's digital sales efforts. Dot returned to Oklahoma City in early 2008 to join Griffin Communications and helped create Griffin Marketing Solutions. In 2009, she took on the role of Statewide VP of Marketing and carried that revenue focus into her new marketing role.
In July 2011, Dot left corporate life to create Brand Talkers, LLC.
